Cadets and Officers from 2919 Grey & Simcoe Forester Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps, 53 Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corps, 102 Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron and Navy League Cadets Chambly #24 will gather at Barrie Memorial Cenotaph on Dunlop Street to begin a 12-hour Vigil. At 7:45pm the Vigil will begin with the lighting of one main candle to signify all Canadians that fought and died at Vimy Ridge. Candles will be placed around the base of the cenotaph to burn throughout the night while accompanied by a five men Guard of Honor made up of Army, Sea, Air and Navy Cadets. Cadets and Officers will rotate and change guard every hour until 8 a.m. on Nov. 11.
The Cadets and Officers of the four Cadet Corps in Barrie will then partake in the Barrie Remembrance Day Parade, which marches from Mulcaster Street and down Dunlop Street to the Cenotaph.
