The inaugural Heroes Festival is coming to the sandy shores of Wasaga Beach on June 23-24, 2018. This family-friendly festival will honour and pay tribute to Canada’s Military and First Responder Heroes. The weekend will feature static and interactive displays from the military, first responder agencies, suppliers and manufacturers. That means kids of all ages can climb on fire trucks, sit in police cars, lie on ambulance stretchers, put on firefigher gear, watch jets and eat cotton candy. An airshow featuring the Snowbirds, the CF-18 Demo Hornet, Skyhawks Parachute Team and some really cool civilian aerobatic performers. You can actually go for a swim as jets fly overhead.
Stick around on Saturday afternoon for a free beach concert and our Heroes Valour Awards where we will hand out the Police Officer of the Year, Firefighter of the Year and Paramedic of the Year awards.
